I love reading books, especially books on Byzantine history. I have only recently gotten into reading such books on Byzantine history. I am currently reading another book by Johnathan Harris, Byzantium and the Crusades. It’s a book that tells how the medieval Byzantine state was involved in the crusades and the political intrigue that accorded as the results of the arrival of the Crusaders. Overall, I am enjoying reading this book, mainly because I just like reading anything about the crusades, especially the Second Crusade.
When I was younger, I did not really consider the Byzantine perspective on the Crusades. Now, I am really into reading anything about the Byzantines and this book really feeds into my passion for learning about Byzantine history.
