This is my first eBook on Byzantine history. It is not long but it is simply a published essay in which I make the case for studying Byzantine history. I have been writing about Byzantine history for a couple of years now and I have to say that it is great to see more interest in it. However, there is still more teaching about Byzantine History that needs to be done. Still too many people conflate Byzantine with Roman History. It is part of the Roman story, but it stands on its own and represents the resiliency of Roman civilization that is often put into the narratives of decline rather of transformation which I find more interesting to write about.
This eBook is simply the beginning of my efforts to start publishing books on the history of this great empire.
